Canoeing

The Cayo District is blessed with the Macal and Mopan Rivers which form the Belize River just outside San Ignacio at Branch Mouth. All are excellent for canoeing with the Mopan being the most challenging. These rivers provide top notch sightseeing opportunities! You'll see iguanas, numerous species of birds, and an occasional mammal or two. We have canoes on-site and can provide drop off and pick up services if you desire to take a trip down the river.
